Newgrange on Splitting Sounds Rec

Newgrange is an Irish experimental project and an exploration of dark music founded by Michael Molloy. He tries to focus on the process of making the music and soundscapes instead of having a solid idea about what the songs should sound like. His inspiration comes from most forms of black metal and some of their respective ideologies relating to paganism and darkness which he has applied to the songs, although, there are strong elements of industrial music also. The chosen name 'Newgrange' because it is an Irish historical place, a burial ground for the dead and a structure that fills with light.
