This new Dichotomy Engine album is based on the material of almost a full hour through 9 compositions, of course instrumental, it is very clear that he had many impressions and inspirations, who knows what, my hypothesis is that it primarily refers to the individual and very intimate, dramatic, certainly exciting an unpredictable and unpleasant experience that this time was embodied calmly and conceptually through an emotional horizon, sticks and stones, as we say, or 'spines and thorns'.
The fact is that we haven't had the chance to hear him in this kind of angry, at times bold harsh decor with constant turmoil between sentimental pathos, nostalgia, sharp lamentations and furious explosions that radiate indignation and disappointment with a cinematic soundtrack that is far from his usual ones, crystal clear approaches with many esoteric-metaphysical inspirations. This is obviously sarcasm mixed with internal paranoia about reality, danger, suffering, depression, pain and emotional breakdown, as Nick Cave once said, 'I can't make compositions when I'm stable, I need spiritual restlessness', and that he feels a lot here at Dichotomy Engine.
